 A caring hundred of so folk have made a real paper chain of hearts with their own first name and a way to be kind. Back in the 1980s at Vassar, I created a Community Valentine Board, for people to post anonymously or otherwise ideas about love, friendship and people in their hearts.

That was part of a weekend of Vassar Voices which sought to create campus wide conversations in various venues such as dorms, posters and a concert with all of the singing groups (a first, that the choir director told me required someone willing to envision and organize that as one who was willing to take the

Asks the Acorn of the Oak, 

"Why am I so small?

Where will my branches reach?

When will my leaves abound?

How will my roots grow deep?"

Says the Oak to the Acorn,

"Now you are small so you can grow tall.

From inside your branches will stretch wide.

Season to season your leaves will increase.

Little by little your roots will grow deep, 

Both when you're awake and when you're asleep.

Hula 'dance' such as at https://youtu.be/oBa6X7YpbdE​ (which is surprising yet inspiring to see is allowed to happen in San Quentin prison under a federal protection to allow Native people to practice their religion with movement, song and ceremony...so it's considered a religious freedom...Worth a listen (to the chanting also).

Very inspiring for these times... maybe more Hula  or other movement meditation and appreciation for nature and community (separately but nearby or with special permission and secure time and supervision etc)could be done before school and sporting events...and
