on Sat, 02/06/2021 - 16:07
A friend and I got talking about unusual births from the past. I shared that I had heard of a the four identicals that happened in Canada not too long ago, all girls by the way...and she said there was a case in the 1930s of 5 identicals so I'll look that up...My friend Karen Cochran is writing a book about some Siamese twins from last century who sang harmoniously and got along well.

I always think if folks like that can get along with one another, how hard can it be for people who are not literally joined together...Some twins Linnea's age in WI I think made me ponder that when I read

"The Dog in the Car Effect," David Pogue says should replace The Greenhouse Effect to get People tune into major climate change concern!

The Salisbury Forum has many talks online and will have the one from Feb. 5th, 2021 with David Pogue up in a few days. His recent book on Climate Change is now available (with signed copies at Oblong Books in Millerton NY.) The presentation is a webinar but some tech issues come up about 10 minutes in. Here are some notes from the first part. Ideally he could have prepared one of those in advance and sent that to have a good test run (good idea for all speakers in the future, knowing life and climate chaos happens...)

Carbon dioxide levels have never gone up so high and fast as they have

Who's Still Inspired by that notion of " A Thousand Points of Light?" How about 1000 clients on your email list? How About Networking to Improve the World, the whole bunch of US--and the rest of the world too of course!

I am getting inspired right and left...so thought I'd share some of what I'm learning about and cool events. First off is The Salisbury Ski Jumps of CT which are not to be missed (at least see online!) Check out special talks from the Center for Catholic Studies spring speaker series at bit.ly/3oMY8Ke for talks on 2/17, 2/24, 3/10,3/31 and 4/14. The one on 2/17 is "Building a Bridge: Reaching Out to LGBTQ Catholics." The one on 2/24 is Changemakers: Catholic Women on Racial, Gender and Environmental Justice..." and of course there's more!

https://youtu.be/pF7OEprwgE4 is a youtube about ending child marriage and promoting education for girls to promote learning and options for work and strength in communities in Bangladesh. Dining For Women is a great organization and accepts donations (about what one would spend on dinner) to direct funds toward such causes at monthly meetings (now online.) There may be a new name coming up at the time of International Woman's Day in March 2021. Learn more and get inspired and thanks for sharing and donating to such causes as you can!

Info from The Warner Theatre site (google that in Torrington CT), online 10 min plays running for 2 weeks at a time (Donations welcome)
