Finding Time to Learn Basic First Aid, CPR and Care for Elderly and kids etc...FB notes shared here

We used to learn some basics in middle school...and about a decade later I was able to save someone 'on the spot' who'd eaten too much (at once of anything really) stringy roast beef...

.It helps to review every few years and really 'the more often the better..." especially for youth, elders or others who may have trouble chewing (and may have food get trapped or pocketed between the teeth and cheeks) and be aware some people cannot drink water but need a thickened liquid or juice.

Preventing a lot of basic problems is a lot easier than having to address concerns people aren't aware of. More people could learn basic CNA or Home Health Aid skills (an overview in short videos online maybe exist) but again would help more people tune in to help prevent falls and create safety plans for people of all ages for good care, supervision and advocacy.

Thanks to all 'ahead of the curve' and those understanding the elders are growing exponentially larger in number than those younger or also older who can care for them in any 'predictable long-term manner...' So everyone could give this more thought and recruit helpers for states and communities through private and municipal and established care centers and programs. Thanks again for asking for help 'early and often' and contributing to efforts as one can especially with a few others.
