School Bells Ringing, Students Are Singing (maybe the blues but that can spur creativity...) Let's Hope There's Joy and Jazz too!
Here's to a special September to remember 2020... Everything a bit different for 'going back to school' but whether part-time or full-time learning in school, at home or some other set-up, wishing all the best for great learning, networking and creating a better world.
After the pause which has the headlines considering 'what could have, should have and would have been better to do in the past' right along with those same kinds of concerns currently, everybuddy has 'more than enough to think about.'.
Having Fun is almost against the law in terms of the 'regular carefree get-togethers, sports, music and more without masks and social distancing..."
Hopefully early on everyone can be encouraged what they were doing Last Year at this Time, before worrying was a worldwide spectator sport if not personal concern.
Being excited to meet with friends and in groups was a key part of school...and some of that will happen, along with meeting teachers and seeing more of the community...
So Remember Those Prior September Days...and 'fast forward' through the pause of the last six months...and pick up with the energy of community that was brimming.
Good luck to all the school and community leaders, teachers and parents, bus drivers and custodians and students, families and friends and towns to pull together with that ol' team spirit...
Find creative ways to take care of yourselves to enjoy 'staying clean, safe and tidy' around others but still eat well, sleep regularly (at night, not during class or even in front of the computer) and basically 'Think Positively!'
And as much as math teaches that a negative times a positive comes out negative, consider that two negatives multiplied comes out positive...
So let's go with that plan..and let pandemics or plandemics be something chirping in the distance like critters at night... not the main game. Peace, kindness, friendly hellos (being "Bucket Fillers' as one book shared at Indian Mountain School promoted as a way to remember everyone has feelings and appreciates being respected....)
If some are 'not there yet' just 'Act As If (and say trust that they'll come round with love from above, eventually...) as my Mom of many coached us. "It's easy to love your friends, but real growth can come from loving or at least praying for your enemies...whether you had been friends, family, strangers, co-workers or community members or not...'
Many say we can heal the past, with envisioning how things could have gone better and with some magical thinking...to give the universe and the present some oomph to move in that direction even if mainly in our hearts and minds. Sometimes it can take reality a while to catch up...but 'Don't worry, be happy' as some of our Reggae wisdom says in song.."Cuz every little thing will be all right..."
