Making a $16 Donation to a GoFundMe.com in honor of Kaelan Palmer Paton to his Grandmother Caroline's Fund

on Tue, 06/12/2018 - 02:36

Sharing this campaign that's raised needed funds to inspire others to help their loved ones and neighbors meet basic needs particularly if 'something comes up' and the cash flow is not as great as it could be even down the road. With aging comes a natural need to network for the most part.

Even if the elders are doing a lot of caregiving, which is often the case, maybe help can be given to lighten their load (I'm thinking of many granny nannies in Brooklyn and here in CT...who basically are needed and very generous housing families and young un's, often doing the care.)

Caroline of course was a good sport helping watch our kids over the years, living about a mile away after we actually lived with them in the big house for a couple of years thirty years ago.) Hope everyone is taking time to give thanks as they celebrate good times and causes..and take a moment to reflect on safety and remembering those who've journeyed on. Peace and light and singing..always, singing!

Donating these $16  in memory of our loved ones in heaven...parents, relatives...and yes, offspring...Kaelan Alexander Palmer Paton passed on 6/16/09 at 16 years of age.

Every day was an adventure for him, with mostly wonderful outcomes, but definitely some challenges along the way. His final acts of love and bravery to help save his friends from the Housatonic River in Falls Village and Salisbury CT (both my hometowns..where much of our families still resides) were heard of far and wide.

Each person definitely felt the strange turn of events and the sadness of losing Kaelan yet the joy of his action and others resulting in three other teen fellows being saved. There is a facebook page in his memory (feel free to join it or see the memorial on youtube in a few parts) and the 9 years have gone by in meaningful  ways, with folk music and friends an important sustaining part of the journey.

All the best and thanks again for all the support at this time as well! Since I can't seem to get a picture of Kaelan to come up, I'll mention  Dr. Sha (but maybe can't share his pic either for copyright reasons), a renowned healer whose helped many...

Here's the post I put on the Kaelan Alexander Paton Group Facebook Page today...as his Mom who misses him dearly still but trusts as he shows up in dreams and 'heavenly winks' such as meeting a tour guide from Escape Maker Vacations named Kaylan (or thereabouts spelling wise, a nice woman) whose bringing folks up from NYC to the Millerton NY area for under $60 round trip via the train to Wassaic then a bus (JTR looked rather fan-cee). So this time of year is a delicate one but full of promise and healing and inspiring times on many levels. Peace Out!

Thinking of everybuddy as this time of June 2018 comes round with lots to celebrate and pursue. Finding time and people to appreciate what each of the few hundred people on this page are doing and might even need help with could be one way to mark the occasion. There are graduations (with much congratulations to everyone putting their best efforts forward and otherwise 'getting the job done with earnest efforts' and for each student completing another year of studying and socializing, working toward health and connection with the greater good and community. These are all being highlighted as important efforts for everyone to help implement. Some good communication can go a long way also and with 'playing it safe'.

Plan to 'play by the rules' (check out The Communication Map or Charlie Applestein, and many others, like Alan Saed) and everyone knows what they are but in the hurry and excitement of new options good intentions can go by the wayside. Please brave sharing the jist of the story of Kaelan and friends last day of school from June 16, 2009... There are many versions of whether parents and others knew the plan or options or not. Let's honor the legacy of his bravery and efforts as well as those of the heroic rescuers and well-meaning searchers..but again please agree to follow safety precautions and have a more clear, comprehensive plan. I will offer ideas on www.livfully.organd as I can and would Welcome Help and Insights with personal message input or emails to cppaton@yahoo.com. Thanks in advance for each person 'telling one other' whether online or in person and doing some outreach to younger people to be With Capable Responsible adults doing reasonable activities.

Foot races and such should be okay, or other friendly competition or camping, but not going 'overboard' or off high places etc. Wishing all continued healing and helping with our human adventures and feeling the love from above. It's fine to invite a few folks to join this group as well. I hope to have a more formal outreach for next June which will mark Kaelan's tenth year in heaven...which of course seems much shorter in many ways and yet challenging in other ways since he'd be 25 by now and out of college if he'd ventured in that direction.

Again, kudos to all of his fabulous family and friends who have 'kept the journey going in a positive way' and love and healing to all those who have had more of a struggle or crossed their finish line in more of a struggle mode than any would have wanted. We learn from everyone over their life and as they journey on.

May their be the helpers and messages ready at hand and reaching every heart in a timely way...we love those miracles, big and small. Group cyber hug and have a cup of healthy soup or other good grub (nice term for food from another who went on ahead, from a Mass. town where many kids were out on a moonlit night, so let's ix-nay on the late night-ay ventures too...thanks, Caring Catherine Paton
