I feel like crying with joy when I see how hard California Protective Parents Association(CPPA) is consistently working for Positive Change

A big title and almost too personal to share, but  moreover a huge sense of pride that CPPA, California Protective Parents Alliance, can keep up with ambitious goals and help lead the country to a brighter day for all parents, really. Because, if you were an abuser, would you deep down actually want to keep doing that and have no one try to stop you or succeed in doing so? More pressing of a question is If you or your children were being abused wouldn't you want someone to be enraged or otherwise motivated to fight like the dickens to get you and your lil' chickens, ie kiddos, safe?

Furthermore if you landed in a custody court arena and thought you would actually be given support in terms of 'law and order and justice--not Just ICE or the equivalent for victimized parents, generally the mothers--wouldn't you be devastated to find out they were more 'against you than for you'. Sometimes that may be that they want to see a 'fair fight and not assume the worst, maybe not enough evidence--you're still alive and maybe even seeming a bit unstable. But sometimes it's outright corruption and wouldn't you want that called out in Big Red Letter Warnings?

Well, in essence that is what the CA Protective Parents Alliance had been doing for years not only in the state of California but coast to coast such as at the Battered Mothers Custody Conference (Thatnks Mo Hannah, Barry Goldstein, Lundy Bancroft, Wendy Murphy and Man Other Key Advocates including Connie Valentine, Kathleen Russell and so many more) As the song goes, anyone fighting the good fight can sing out loud and clear, " We ARE The Champions...of the world of decency and safety for our children and one another, regardless of the actual physical, judicial or other ramifications"...when it's all been said and done, maybe decades or a hundred years from now, we fought the good fight. We are actually trying to help the abusers not hurt themselves as well, since way too often they do just that. One in three times that they kill someone else, they kill themselves. Clearly they are hurtin' puppies in need of guidance.

This is what we might term a necessary guy-dance where we actually help each and every person have a clear guideline for decent and fair treatment of others and even themselves. Likely there are some childhood or social wounds in the early part of life.

Maybe they are secret ones, even hidden from the person affected. But when the trouble starts, the question and help should be there to help them really try to stop and figure out which wires got crossed when and moreover how to really fix them to get back on track.

Maybe the answers are a little simpler than our complicated world has allowed us to consider, Likely a lot has to do with helping younger people 'curtail the fairy tale' story lines and expectations for themselves, and others in their lives.We likely need a reminder we are still Only Human and in a complex world with many problems of its own, so to dream a bit more reasonably.

Oddly enough with certain parameters put in place many people may feel more secure, like they actually Are Doing Enough and they Don't have to be in charge, super talented or otherwise unique. If it's a bit more comprehensible how to fit into one's social groups and local areas, more people can feel validated and included...and yes, accountable to overall goals and guidelines. The Federal House Concurrent Resolution 72 is one timely action that could create wonderful waves of women (the typical protective parent) having default custody of their child/ren if there is a concern of abuse . That could save lives and keep more children feeling secure and protected. It can also help amazing moms find that there is protection in the family courts not just the criminal courts. Too often some abusers will feel they are being misjudged and mistreated and take revenge to maintain their agenda. It can get ugly if not dangerous so ideally more people would think matters through carefully if it were ever getting to a point of having serious relationship, getting pregnant, living together or getting married (a lifelong commitment which comes with legal ramifications about financial responsibilities and requirements to get divorced in court even if doing so amicably. )

Ideally every country and state would have specific websites and quizzes to help people determine if they are anywhere in the ball park of mature and informed enough about the major commitments or ramifications of legalizing a relationship, having children and making other life plans.
