Solstice Time (when earth is farthest from the sun and tilted to give the Northern Hemisphere winter..I think)
Hello Everyone...Consider this a universal 'all here on one planet with more efforts for a united effort to keep our collective boat afloat) call, card, wish and dream...and game plan. The holiday season has come on strong (especially in shopaholic countries...) and the true meaning of keeping lights burning..from Hannukah with 8 nights to commemorate oil that seemed only enough for one night lasting 8 long ago (as the ancient Jewish history conveys and tradition has maintained) to the solstice marking the shortest day of the year (and longest night) to Christmas on December 25th.
I wrote out a lot of ideas that came to mind before I was fully awake about 'The Power of Ten" and later about Lucky 7. A friend shared that in India there is a chanting that is done for 7 days, I believe as the new year arrives...have to find out more. At Kripalu Center in Lenox MA and at Sruti in Great Barrington MA as well as many other places there will be chanting and music played during these final days of December and into the New Year.
There are ongoing programs at Kripalu and Omega in nearby Rhinebeck NY also...and plenty of faith and yoga and community centers and libraries as well as schools and private events...and more at theatres that encourage people to gather and reflect on their inner light and their outer lives and shared connections and journeys.
We fourteen beings (Power of 10+ 4 directions..N,E,W,S) had a wonderful theme along those lines at our Southern Berkshire Toastmasters meeting. Shared appreciation for mentors, similar human feelings and challenges as well as accomplishments factored into talks. When people share from the heart, feel grounded on the earth and dream out loud a lot of great ideas and feelings abound. Working through the tough stuff was a theme for individuals I heard about on NPR with the A1 radio program first about Romantic Comedy...two people meeting and sorting through some transitional experiences and then 'finding each other'.
Tomorrow they'll have some discussion about dating in what they called ones 'senior years'...and that was over 50 (whatever happend to 65?). Well, this is a quick effort to mark this time of year when I don't have easy access to a computer but am finding plenty to do and folks to appreciate from the young to the older...from babes to those in their 90s and above. One of my new friends with a sharp mind and good physical health (though mainly in a wheelchair) is about 104! hope that is putting a smile on your face...I will remember those who have journeyed 'beyond the North Star' this past year or so... Miss Sharon, Amazing Adrienne, Young Adults who were in struggle mode or caught offguard as a passenger.
Headlines also can be alarming but again the warning to give us reason to plan for peace and acceptance (of those things we cannot change or get enough distance from.) Not an easy topic by any means yet worth keeping prayer, not denying. I will wrap this up for now with 'prayers and thoughts for healing on all levels.'
Many wonderful efforts are happening online and in person and plenty of 'chance encounters too.' New friends I made today happen to be both local to my small towns in CT and Malaysia! Time to check out what the Babbal app (or is that el at the end...) to learn some languages..French, Spanish or maybe Mandarin though I know someone who may teach online...I'll keep you posted!
In case I don't get back on Livfully.org before the new year...Happy New Year for 2019! That's closing in quickly with my vision from long ago for A-2020 (the year 2020 aligning with the idea of Acorns to Oaks Team Outreach) so that's my gift to you for now...google the term and hopefully another post will pop up. Any of these posts could prompt you to think new thoughts and get inspired and a bit more savvy and connected with the upward spiral of shared learning and encouragement for each and every with good intentions..
.Keep the new kids on the block in mind also in terms of celebrating...the idea of a being bringing a new frequency and path to peace on the planet is a lofty notion...yet all miracles needed. Very unfortunate the outplaying in the human realm turned out to be a mixed bag of tricks over the last 2000 years...and even before then. Now we need to realize the 'great computer in the sky' and those that may be another kind of 3rd eye attached to some or all of us may be a kind of 'big brother' or other watching over pretty much everyone...and more able to key into one another as well.
The mystical possibilities for consciousness to exist outside of a person is being explored and maybe explained with the field of quantum physics...and other ideas such as holograms and collective consciousness. Some interesting ideas I heard of at Toasties included resonance (such as a group humming together) and entrainment (such as a group following someone clapping rather than doing so like applause...) There was also attention brought to the power of breathing and relaxing (Be Here Now...and take a few breaths, why not..it's the holidays... and always a helpful option whether under stress or nodding off for a nap when it's safe to do so.) Then there was a new term I'll share from a talk given....it comes from Buckminster Fuller and is tensigrity.
That ought to keep us interested for 10 plus days so let's see what we can learn about that whether on wikipedia, online, the library or others...Here's to my friends at Time Is Art (Katy and Joel) and the New Life Expo peeps who are offering an event in Florida in February... as they did in NYC in October. A shout out to Mama Gena whose retiring soon from doing her live programs which may have 2000 women in an auditorium feeling like sister divine beings...and ready to feel their feelings, brag about allowing their process and being empowered on all fronts.
The Burning Times and Goddess Remembered are documentaries I saw a couple decades ago which are moving and likely important medicine as are the talks many (including Mama Gena) offer online and in their books to consider the serious smothering of mothering on many levels that is wiping out half the talent on the planet to serve purposes of greedy corporate values. Who is Driving the bUS and why don't we talk things over more regularly as though we live in the land of the free and the home of the brave...and so could everybuddy else with a little networking in our hearts and minds... Eventually most people find a happy medium (and yes, maybe someone who can share ideas of healing beyond this life and that can inform this life with a higher sense of spiritual care and ways to relate...) Barbara Marciniak and others thinking 'beyond our happy planet..or at least habitable planet' encourage people to get back to nature, literally stand on the earth or spend more time away from electronics. So many good ideas can season the fare of this part of the year and all the years we will be fortunate to enjoy in the future... Think Team and thanks for taking it easy too..on yourself, others, the divine, nature and the earth...we need to be team players to stay in the game whatever the name..peace out!
