Girls Night O-U-T!! In Danbury Fri 3/28 from 7-11pm
Anybody going to Girls Night Out in Danbury CT on March 28th, 2014? Sounds like too much fun to miss, so yours truly hopes to attend. So far, I've got directions to the Matrix Conference Center and a friend game to drive, so it's looking more possible, especially with a night off (not a given for many a woman, especially a mom or caregiver). If you go, consider you are representing batches of awesome women who really couldn't find the time or the money or ride to go
. Rather special and could almost be a reason to 'not bother or put energy or said do-re-mi' toward the CAUSE OF CELEBRATING WOMEN!! Sure there will be promotions and things to buy but there are free chances to win nice things (new car, anyone?!!) Maybe some lottery winnings (scratch off kind, I'm no expert).
Gotta get ready to go and hope you can find something to treat yourself to this month or later because you are you, and had the good chance to have parents say 'yes' to your arrival from the time you were ready to be born if not from the get-go of before. Just for the record, only half of pregnancies are 'planned', with about half of those carried out.
So you are a 'winner' of a very special prize if you managed to get here. Some would say if a mother/ father were not ready to have their child, that that little one was in agreement on some soul level to be here only for the time they were here. It's a weird idea if it's new, but overall is one that has some longterm thinkers behind it. Ideally, as one can plan and have support in making positive choices, one will brave adventures such as romance or parenthood with respect for all parties concerned. More practical advice, working with natural cycles as well as being very well informed of all forms of contraception from condoms and diaphragms (or even both) to not completing something (don't count on it, but don't overlook that many use that along with other methods IF they really are not able or willing to plan for Whatever reasons, hopefully no one forcing or surprising or pressuring someone).
All these topics may seem a 'little too personal' but the truth is, every woman and really every man or any other gendered person needs to really put a lot more effort into education for themselves and others they can help since ignorance is not a good modus operandu (mode of operation). Okay, need to wrap this up, and trUSt that everybuddy will show up with their A-Game to make it a great night of fun and appreciation for Women (spelled however one likes, womyn, wemyn, wemen...wonder women, wonderful women, wishful huwomen beings) of whatever age...or gender. Woe- Awesome Girls Night Out, even if Foggy on the way Home!
Yes,, it was more than I imagined. Lots of lovely ladies turned up to take advantage of the great offerings to learn about health, wealth, weight loss and yet delectables too, a chance to win a car by the generous donors if someone picked 6 digits in order or chance to win $50k if someone scratched off 6 stars out of about 40 spots. So maybe it's the high odds of getting 6 of something in a row that keep folks from winning, or maybe we're not quite psychic enough. Meanwhile, I met awesome people who were ready to have a listen to my interests and concerns and I wore a T-shirt with my www.livfully.drupalgardens.com written in marker in large letters the "Livfully" part and I think I'll make up some 'real T-shirts' so others can help me fundraise for good causes, mine and their own (good ol' profit-sharing.) Let me know if you're game to help get that idea growing.
I'll list more of who I saw, but check out the photos on their main page or FB page. I got my photo taken with two amazing authors who I will also mention when I go through the many papers so stay tuned. A lot of folks gave nice gizmos away (okay mainly pens but some tasty treats, a make-up treatment and massages, a health consult, mention of other good events (I'll post soon, maybe check their page too). Great ideas to sell products such as make-up (Arbonne, very natural), fat shrinking gel packs (I'll see about listing more contact info), and some great free follow up consults. Lots more to say, but overall I was incredibly appreciative of my friend being willing to 'go the distance', in the fog on the way home..but ideally the conference could have found a way to offer a very cheap room in the area so no would have had to drive far. Then there could be before and after gatherings, maybe with motivational speakers such as at the Women of the World event held at the Warner Theatre many years.
The more women can get together for fun, sharing and helping out that next gal or guy, the better. UNIFEM promotes that, as do events for International Women's Day and Girls' Day (maybe I invented that, but I'll check.) See other posts about the New Year where I list ideas to recognize people of every age...and for right now, I have to see if the person helping me run this site can update my settings...sure would be nice to get more tech savvy sooner rather than later or never. Thanks for sharing what you know to help others get their cyber skills up and running or fine-tuned! Aloha for now!

Great time at Mom Grows a Business (prize I won!)
Many thanks to all who got the awesome Mom Grows a Business Conference (on FB). I won a ticket to the April 25th, 2014 event from the Macaroni Kid newsletter which I signed up for at the Danbury Girls Night out. So the foggy ride home a month before was followed by a train ride to White Plains from Wassaic NY by a sleepy-eyed me. Thanks to a friend who drove me to the train by 5:45 AM so my other good friend could borrow my car and not have to wake a sleeping child to get me there.
Once there, the fun I did have..and the moving experience of 'sharing the one BIG THING' I wanted to do to create a magent for people to connect with my dream and receive the wisdom I'm trying to impart for everyone and especially future generations (who Will have it MUCH harder than any of US as the plan-it heats up, see the book Generation HOT. I heard that author speak at the Berkshire School last year when there was an all-school read of that book with moving stories about how we must self-organize and care about our global community.)
Similar 'let's pool our wisdom and efforts' were touted and demonstrated with many generous give-aways at the Moms Conference..legal help, coaching, books (yes, I won MUCHNESS by Tova Gold along with a deck of inspirational cards, way awesome and this all done by a Mom whose seen more than her share of loss.)
For now, I want to send out big thanks and encouragement to all who have a dream, I'll post more after a Gospel Concert at Hotchkiss in Lakeville, an inspiring time for the gospel groups from a few schools to gather and energize our communities. Maybe we can do a video post one of these years?! Same with Battle of the Bands at HVRHS, a great FUNdraiser for Youth Service Bureau in Falls Village Ct. Every school and town needs to feel the love and $upport, even getting kids to basic programs and special times. Sympathy and hugs to the family, friends and school community of Maria Sanchez of Milford's Jonothan Law HS.
For unclear reason a 'smart okay guy' who maybe had asked her to the prom even though she was clearly going with her longtime boyfriend ended her life in the early morning of Friday morning as I was just pulling into the train station...where were you, just to take note of the blessings in our lives when we don't know what else is going on...and can have a 'normal life'.
Once tragedy like that strikes 'nothing seems quite normal anymore' and giving respect on some level to what befalls others could perhaps stave off such inexplicable, difficult happenings..and most know, yes, I've lived through that kind of hell and misery..and it's not easy, but it's important not to let anger and despair have the final say. Rather, feeling feelings (journaling and exploring the human condition can be followed with compassion for US-All and hope to have teams of support so no one feels alone or acts irrationally for random reasons..and even for 'good reasons'..easy does it..peace
